Shobukan has returned to regular class times!
We have returned to our regular class times on Monday/Wednesday/Friday as follows:
Beginner class: 5:30 - 6:30 pm, ages 6 - 8 (white belts)
Junior/Adult class: 6:30 - 8:00 pm, ages 8+ (intermediate - adults)
Advanced/Open Practice: 8:00 - 9:30 pm
In re-opening last December 1, 2021 and instituting a vaccination requirement on December 19, 2021, we were very successful in keeping Shobukan safe throughout the Delta and Omicron variants. However, Covid-19 and its variant(s) are still present, so we will continue with our requirements of vaccination/boosters (where applicable) for 5 year olds & above through adults. In addition, masking and hygiene will still be an important part of our plan. We will keep monitoring the situation to lessen restrictions in the future months.
We will be running classes with exercises, drills, uchikomi, newaza and randori as usual. However, masks will still be required due to the close-contact nature of Judo.
